The origins of Southern Star Agencia Maritima Inc. (SSAMI) may be traced back to 2011 when our President & CEO, Fernando V. Navarra, Jr., a 35-year veteran of international shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics, secured the agency of Namsung Shipping Co., Ltd. of Korea during his stint at a previous company.
He went on to establish SSAMI in February 2013 to provide ship agency services to international shipping lines with Namsung as its first principal.
Today, SSAMI supports the Philippine economy by connecting the country to Namsung’s global network with extensive coverage of ports in Korea, Japan, China and Southeast Asia.
